Mount Carmel Primary School, Khanpur, joyfully celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June. Mrs. Sylvia Fernandes addressed the students during the morning assembly and spoke about the health benefits of yoga. She highlighted how regular yoga practice can enhance physical strength, improve mental clarity and promote emotional stability.
After the assembly, the students of Standard 4 performed a series of yoga asanas under the guidance of their teachers. Their synchronized movements and calm expressions reflected focus and dedication. The performance was not only impressive but also served as an inspiration for others to adopt yoga as part of their daily routine.
The students were visibly happy and excited, enjoying the experience of connecting with their inner selves through yoga. The event successfully instilled a sense of discipline, relaxation, and health consciousness among the young learners.
The celebration of Yoga Day was a beautiful reminder that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and yoga is a powerful tool to achieve both.
